Isolated from my dearire bloggy for a week already. HAhaz.. whatever. So here's a sum up of the happenings of last week, well, and today too. (Changed my bloggy's music already. Don't know if you guys are able to hear. Maybe it takes a while to load. BE patient K? cos it's a nice nice music)
Hmm all I could remember was the pretty satisfying trip down the streets of chinatown last saturday night. The two happy families went strolling down the streets of Sinagpore (by car) to some place to have their eveing meal.. lolz. Then off they went to park the cars near an MRT station (which happened to be little india)along a deserted alley so that those fortune gods who go round distributing summons instead of hong baos would not be able to find them *peace*.. wahaha. What a scene we've found at chinatown MRT station. It's as though we were at Orchard MRT. The exit, needless to say was packed with people all the way to no where cos the whole chinatown is filled with peeps and peeps and peeps and peeps...
We progressed through the lanes as if we were ducks. Everyone's literally shuffling their feet and waddling cos the steps are too small for you to lift your legs and walk the way humans normally do. The shops were lined with pretty great stuff; stuffs like puppets of chinese dancing lions and dragons *so cuuute* and exotic stuff which seemed rather appealing to the fairer kind, well of course, stuffs which took the the majority of stalls..that's none other than goodies (that are not quite what they sound to be). Then in the middle of somewhere, you see indian ladies in sari inviting passers by into the indian temple for a visit or something. There's this special feature of indians that I've come to realise lately. That their presence is often sniff-able. Cos my nose always takes the lead before my eyes in making out indian identity. Hahaz..so yupz. I smelled them before I saw them. Twice you know!! So this is one uniqueness of one of our fellow mates in Sinagpore that I've come to appreciate.. =)
That one intoxicating experience I've had there was to be soaked in a pretty well mixed mixture of BOs for more than 2 hours.. HAHAZ.. not really that bad lah. Not quite like conc sulphuric acid. Just that it's
badder.. LOLZ..^_^
Oh yah.. this
BTRTS (Buddha Tooth Relic Temple Singapore) is going to be built in chinatown area. A new temple structure (obvious) except that this one's a little special. Cos one of it's aims' to become a tourist attraction and, well, possibly a new national landmark. Cool huh? yah it is. Absolutely. You guys should hop by there and take a look for yourself. Mind boggling.
It's a half school day today cos it's the eve of CNY and everyone (chinese) has to go back and prepare for the reunion dinner. Be it cooking..or warming up the mouth and stomach for the intense "excercise" later in the night. Skipped chemistry lecture that was right after civics cos was (or rather we as in the whole class) 10 mins late. Found no point sitting in for the lecture. By the time I get myself ready the lecturer's probably finished with her stuff already. So John, James and I slacked away what's left of the 40-min period outside the audi. Kinda regretted 'ponting' the lecture. Haiz.. but nevermind lah.. just don't do it again. But it's a good experience after all ;)
Hmm.. having reunion dinner tonight. Shall update more in the near future.. Happy holidays guys and to my fellow chinese peeps..have a good time collecting hang baos yah?..and be carfeul not to blow your stomachs tonight.. hahaz =D
