I'm getting bored of the daily papers. Hurricanes, quakes, avian influenza, politics. It's always the same old chunk of news, running like episodes of serial drama, evolving around the lives of lead characters. Nothing new.
Can't they produce something more pleasant to read about?
Flipping through sheets of reported happenings, those devastating pictures of disaster, those agonising images of people suffering. They no longer pull at my heart's strings. My sympathy for them, seriously, are already numbed. Those accounts of immoral acts and injustice. They no longer make me feel the urge to join the force of crusaders. Like I said, they're nothing new.
Man... where has my compassionate heart gone...
Could I possibly have gained some bit of enlightenment about life? Or is it simply because I'm turning cold-blooded? I see it more like a natural phenomenon, that man adpats accordingly to his surroundings, especially when social outlaws are so much on the loose. Again, justifying the statement in the last entry.
In any case, I still hope for peace until the day finally arrives, so that the papers won't be so gloomy anymore!
