Haha it wasn't until the very night before NDP's preview that I knew I've got the tix to attend! I was like "hmm..? Okie lor", and not really perked up for the excursion with my cuzzies.. well. Anyways, going to the NDP basically means my whole day would be gone, to pre-celebrate my beloved nation's birthday. See, what a great prezzie I'm giving Singapore.. 24 hrs of my life! Yea.
I feel that the parade is getting more and more casual by the year. So it's decided that the troops will run in instead of the customary march-in.. hmm. Then the performances, the formations are becoming more and more abstract, or maybe they're always like that. Maybe I'm just not artistic enough. Ha ha. But I think I have to say some good words about the fireworks display. It's simply.. good. Obviously it's still some miles away from the Athens Olympics closing ceremony one that left jaws hanging, mine at least. But considering the fact that I've yet to praise any local fireworks in my life so far cuz they were choreographed so horribly.. this one is seriously not bad, the so-called "musical fireworks". Hahaha what a luck, I'll be going again on the 9th! =D
I know it's gonna sound so noob, but my favourite part of it is when WE sing the national anthem and take the pledge togather. Lol.
Last last wednesday the juniors held a farewell party for their NYPS seniors. Lots of food.. lots of prezzies! Haha I'm really touched. Sadly our times together are so short... =X
Oh and wasn't that officer Ivy Tan posing for the commerical!? XD
Okies.. school had this career sem today and the J2s are supposed to be in formal wear. Brought mine along too, if not for Marcus. Haha. As for how I turned out.. you gotta ask those guys le. I thought it wasn't really beneficial though, nothing more than some basic dressing rules. The speaker is from School Of Thoughts, one of the two and a half tutors teaching at the centre, or one of the one and a half colleges of Mr Tong bah.. I think ^_^
